Meet Eric Dubiner: A lifelong New Yorker who’s always up for a challenge (and ice cream)
Welcome to Jumpmind Reveal, a blog series showcasing some of the talented folks we have here at Jumpmind. In today’s installment, we bring you a profile on Eric Dubiner, our Director of Implementation Strategy, based in Boston.
Eric, tell us about your background.
I’ve spent my entire career in professional services and consulting, usually working in customer-facing roles. I enjoy working with clients, even when they’re difficult—it keeps things interesting. I’ve been in the retail space for a while and recently joined Jumpmind in March 2025. What drew me in—and has been confirmed since—is the transparency and genuine collaborative spirit at Jumpmind. No games, no pretense, just teams doing everything to help each other move forward.
What else made you excited to join Jumpmind, and what does your role entail?
Besides the people, it was the flexibility of the Jumpmind platform that really stood out. Having experience in the point of sale space, I was impressed by how adaptable Jumpmind’s technology could be to work with any technology or customer.
From day one, I was tossed into the deep end: one week after starting, I spent two weeks at a major apparel retailer helping them on a 2,600-store rollout. Trial by fire, for sure, but rewarding! Since then, I’ve focused on scaling our services, standardizing processes, and supporting cloud initiatives.
I work closely with the implementation team, engineering, sales and our system integration partners to define new services and improve existing ones as we scale. I lead a lot of cross-functional collaboration, ensuring everyone is aligned and working toward common goals. Jumpmind feels like a rocket ship taking off and I’m genuinely excited to be here.
Where can we find you outside of work?
I like to suffer through endurance sports. I love cycling and running–you might find me training for or running marathons, half-marathons and long-distance cycling events. For example, this year I ran the Rockaway Half Marathon in New York. I was recently injured in an accident so I’ve most recently been focused on rehabbing that, but I do have a couple races lined up for the fall. I might also be found at any time of the year having ice cream.
My wife and I also love to travel. I recently went on a cycling trip to Mallorca with friends, we rented bikes and enjoyed riding up and down the hills and taking in the beautiful scenery.
My career has also provided me with many opportunities to see the world. A past job had me commuting to Montevideo, Uruguay for two years, which was challenging but rewarding.
What’s something about you that your colleagues need to know?
I like to say I’m a lifelong New Yorker. I have lived in the suburbs of Boston for more than 20 years, but my attitude is very much still a New Yorker. I’m very direct, and I always joke that I can’t play poker because I fundamentally can’t bluff.
What do you miss the most about New York?
I’d have to say, the pizza. Fortunately, I have a daughter who works as a nurse in New York City, which gives me a regular reason to visit.
