SymmetricDS Data Replication and CDC into Teradata Database
SymmetricDS version 3.9 data replication software can target Teradata data warehouse with high performance database replication and change data capture
Columbus, Ohio – May 1, 2018 – Jumpmind, a leading provider of data integration software, announced today the addition of Teradata data warehouse to the supported databases in SymmetricDS version 3.9 database replication software. The new software release allows Teradata database to receive initial data loads and continuous data changes in near real-time from a diverse set of source databases.
With Teradata database, SymmetricDS expands its support for cloud and hardware-based data warehousing solutions that includes Oracle Exadata, Amazon Redshift, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server. The cross platform features of SymmetricDS provide change data capture (CDC) on more than 20 database platforms, enabling heterogeneous database replication between Teradata and other databases. High performance is achieved using parallel loading of data and FastLoad bulk loading into Teradata.
“As enterprises consolidate data from disparate sources into data lakes and data warehouses, they find the need to integrate data in real time for their business systems, many of which are Teradata,” said Eric Long, Vice President of Solutions at Jumpmind. SymmetricDS is optimized for cloud and WAN deployment with very low overhead and network utilization, making it ideal for data replication across a large number of databases.
