Complete Full Migration In 30 Days

Every version of Syniti Replicate, including the most recent release, reaches end of life in June 2026. Support ends. Updates stop. Security patches stop. If your replication infrastructure runs on Syniti Replicate (formerly DBMoto), the clock is ticking.

SymmetricDS is the proven, enterprise-grade replacement your team can migrate to without starting over.

What’s Happening with Syniti Replicate

In late 2025, Syniti announced the discontinuation of all Syniti Replicate versions. The EOL deadline is June 2026, including the most recent release. There is no successor product. Customers are on their own to find an alternative.

No Security Patches

After June 2026, security vulnerabilities go unpatched. Every month you stay on Syniti Replicate, your compliance posture degrades.

SymmetricDS receives regular security and feature updates. Your replication infrastructure stays current.

No Support Escalation

After June 2026, there are no support tickets, no escalation path, no hotfixes. When something breaks, you’re on your own.

SymmetricDS Pro includes JumpMind SLA-backed support. The team that built the product is the team answering your tickets.

No Connector Updates

New database versions, new cloud platforms, new drivers, etc., none of these will be supported after the EOL date. Your pipeline becomes a liability.

SymmetricDS supports 40+ database platforms and releases regular connector updates. It’s built to keep pace with your infrastructure.

Talk to a Migration Expert

Jumpmind’s team has helped enterprise customers migrate from Syniti Replicate, IBM DataStage, Oracle GoldenGate, and other legacy replication tools. We can scope your migration, estimate timeline, and identify any edge cases before you commit.

Why SymmetricDS

SymmetricDS is open-source database replication and change data capture software with over 15 years of active development and deployment at enterprise scale. Unlike Syniti Replicate, it’s not owned by a systems integrator with other priorities, it’s built and maintained by Jumpmind, a team entirely focused on data replication.

It handles the same workloads Syniti Replicate handles: heterogeneous database replication, CDC, data transformation, and synchronization across distributed environments. And it does it without the vendor risk you just experienced.

What the Migration Actually Looks Like

Migrating from Syniti Replicate to SymmetricDS is not a rip-and-replace. The core concepts, like replication groups, CDC configuration, transformation rules, and conflict handling, map directly. And now, with our Syniti Replicate configuration converter, most of the translation work is automated.

Typical migration path:

  1. Export your Syniti Replicate metadata. Syniti Replicate stores your entire replication setup in an XML metadata file: sources, targets, table mappings, transformations, scheduling. Export it from the management console. This is your starting point.
  2. Convert your configuration. Upload your metadata XML to the SymmetricDS converter. The tool reads your Syniti Replicate definitions and generates a SymmetricDS-ready configuration file. Table mappings, CDC parameters, and replication logic carry forward automatically. No manual re-entry. No scripting.
  3. Stand up SymmetricDS in parallel. Install SymmetricDS alongside your existing Syniti Replicate setup and import the converted configuration. Run both systems simultaneously so there’s zero downtime while you validate.
  4. Review and validate the imported configuration. Confirm that source and target connections are correctly mapped, field types align with your target schema, and CDC behavior matches your original Syniti Replicate setup. SymmetricDS gives you full visibility into every imported definition so you can catch discrepancies before they reach production.
  5. Validate with compare and repair. Use SymmetricDS’s built-in compare and repair feature to confirm data parity between source and target across both systems. This is a step Syniti Replicate doesn’t easily support.
  6. Cut over. Once validation passes, redirect your applications to the SymmetricDS-managed pipeline and decommission Syniti Replicate.

The converter compresses what used to be the most tedious part of migration, manually rebuilding every replication job, into a single step. Most enterprise teams complete full production cutover in 30 to 60 days.

Trusted at Enterprise Scale

SymmetricDS is deployed across thousands of nodes in retail, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and logistics. It was designed specifically for environments where data replication is mission-critical and failure isn’t an option, like distributed retail systems, remote edge deployments, real-time data warehousing, and zero-downtime database migrations.

It’s not a pivot from a systems integrator. Replication is the whole product.
